Unparalelled Experience 

UK Choir Tours was set up in the Summer of 2022 by Tom & Victoria Stockwell. They live in the East Midlands where Victoria is an award-winning freelance artist and Tom is a teacher, church organist and choir trainer and associate lecturer in performance at the University of Lincoln. Tom and Victoria have a great passion for travel and have visited 41 of the 42 Anglican cathedrals, most of the UK's Catholic cathedrals, many hundreds of Minsters, parish churches and abbeys. Through personal experience and passion for these places, Tom and Victoria have a plethora of experiences and contacts between them in each of these places.

 

Tom has spent his life in cathedral and church music, starting life as a chorister at Salisbury Cathedral before moving on to Lancing College, positions in Truro and Blackburn Cathedrals, various Oxford colleges and as a lay vicar in the choir of Lincoln Cathedral. He has also sung as a deputy in many other cathedral choirs across the UK alongside a busy career as an organist, choir trainer and educator. His great passions in life are cathedral music, history, real ale and cricket and he is dedicated to sharing (at least some!) of these passions with ensembles from across the world who wish to be a part of the extraordinary heritage we are fortunate to enjoy here in the UK.

Victoria is an award-winning artist, specialising in portraiture (animals and humans) and church architecture and has a passion for churches and cathedrals. Having run her own thriving commission based business since 2013, Victoria is thrilled to have produced works that have homes all over the world. She is particularly proud to have produced commissioned pieces for, amongst some, academics, clergy, country estates and representatives of His Majesty, The King. Victoria has exhibited in cities all over the UK, and holds a number of international accolades.

Tom and Victoria have two children, William and James. Between them, they have been to over 20 UK Cathedrals and have the stickers to prove it!
